Spanish Super Cup could be played in Saudi Arabia as a four-group competition in January
The Spanish FA has endorsed huge changes to the Copa del Rey and Spanish Super Cup designs for the 2019/20 season and past.
The Copa del Rey changes to a solitary match position, except for the semi-finals, which remain a two-leg tie.
Groups associated with the Spanish Super Cup – Barcelona, Valencia, Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid – won’t need to take an interest in the initial two rounds of the Copa. The last is on April 18, 2020.

The Spanish Super Cup will transform from a match between the alliance victors and the container champs to a four-group rivalry between both Spanish Cup finalists and the main two in La Liga.
In the event that a group is in the container last and the best two in La Liga, the spot would go down to the following group in the class table.
The Super Cup will happen in January instead of toward the beginning of the period, with the semi-finals on January 8 and January 9 and the last on January 12.
Spanish media has detailed Saudi Arabia as a conceivable scene for the competition and Spanish FA president Luis Rubiales affirmed it was one of various choices.
“We are dealing with it,” said Rubiales. “Nothing has been agreed upon. Saudi Arabia is a choice and we have not denied that.
